Korean-French bakery known for its pastries and cloud cakes is coming to Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Tous les Jours, a Korean-French bakery café chain, will open a location in Grand Rapids on July 3, its second store in West Michigan. The 3,300-square-foot store at 3581 28th St. SE, which features pastries, cakes and coffee drinks, will have seating for 48 customers. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for 10 a.m. July 3. The first 120 customers will receive a free Tous les Jours tumbler, and customers who spend $30 or more will receive a mini insulated tote bag.

Voters will choose between state Rep. Carol Glanville, D-Walker, and Rickie Kreuzer, a Grand Rapids resident who serves as executive director of Chosen Family of Michigan, an organization that serves the LGBTQ community. The winner of the Democratic primary will face state Sen.

Planner, resident opposition halts developer’s push for Wyoming retail project

WYOMING, MI — A request to rezone 11 acres at 52nd Street and Wilson Avenue in Wyoming — currently occupied by eight single-family homes — for commercial development has been withdrawn after the Planning Commission voted against it on June 11. Brian Silvernail, a realtor at Show Grand Rapids Real Estate, said he pulled the rezoning application at the request of the homeowners but declined to comment further.
