Montana Democrats, it's time for a hard truth | Bryce Bennett
Our country is in a dark place. The Trump administration has stripped abortion rights at the federal level, threatened Social Security and Medicaid, deported American citizens, packed the courts, and used the Justice Department against its political enemies. It has separated families at the border, abandoned our allies, and lurched toward authoritarianism with a speed that has left democratic institutions gasping. kAm(:E9 D@ >F49 @?

Early Voting Helps Students Break Down Barriers To Our Democracy
For generations, students have faced unique barriers to voting. Whether it’s navigating the process as a first-time voter, balancing the demands of school and work, or lacking reliable transportation, students and young people often face obstacles just to cast a ballot. With critical state and local elections on the line this fall, it’s time to break down those barriers. One of the most powerful tools students have to overcome these barriers is early voting.
Celebrate Vote Early Day. It's a nonpartisan investment in our democracy
This year, thousands of nonprofits, businesses, campus groups, election leaders and other voting enthusiasts are participating in Vote Early Day - including 60 organizations in Missouri and Kansas. They're all encouraging Americans to vote early in state and local elections nationwide.
It’s Vote Early Day!
Bennett is executive director of Vote Early Day, a nonpartisan effort promoting a civic holiday dedicated to empowering Americans to vote early. It’s Vote Early Day! Today, thousands of nonprofits, businesses, campus groups, election leaders and other voting enthusiasts are hosting celebrations encouraging Americans to vote early in every corner of the country. But why vote early? When you vote early by mail or in person, nothing can stop you from having your say.

Jonathan “Gremlin” Aronoff and Boeing test pilot Steve “Bull” Schmidt, soars over Edwards Air Force Base, California, Nov. 8, prior to arrival. The T-7A will replace the 1960s-era T-38 aircraft by providing advanced pilot training capabilities for aviators learning to fly both tactical and bomber aircraft.
Today is vote early day
Bryce Bennett is the executive director of Vote Early Day, a national nonpartisan civic holiday dedicated to empowering Americans to vote early. It’s Vote Early Day! Today, thousands of nonprofits, businesses, campus groups, election leaders, and other voting enthusiasts are hosting celebrations encouraging Americans to vote early in every corner of the country. But why vote early? In the final hours of voting, Americans can face unanticipated barriers that may keep them from casting their ballot.
Civic Nation BrandVoice: We Can’t Afford To Wait To Vote Early
This fall, voters across the country will take part in statewide and local elections with significant implications for their communities and everyday lives. To do so, millions of them will have to navigate new voting laws that have changed how voters can cast a ballot, as well as a bevy of other long-standing issues that are all too common: long lines at polling places, last-minute logistical problems, rampant voter disinformation, to name a few.
Vote Early Day partners broke records in 2022, but we’re just getting started
Bennett is the Executive Director of Vote Early Day. Early voting took center stage as a global pandemic took hold of the world in 2020. That year, over 100 million voters sought opportunities to vote by mail and avoid crowded Election Day polling locations. The number of Americans casting a ballot before Election Day had steadily risen, but the circumstances around this election catapulted interest in voting early into the stratosphere.
U.S. downhillers Bennett, Ganong, Cochran-Siegle to tempt fate and physics in Yanqing Original
Sports are awash in suppressed fears, ever-present but denied; overwhelming but compartmentalized. Human frailties bumping up against the veneer of superhuman toughness expected from athletes. Simone Biles cracked open a window for the world to experience this reality last summer at the Olympics in Tokyo. After she withdrew from the women’s all-around gymnastics competition and three subsequent apparatus events, she was both effusively praised and (mostly) anonymously ridiculed.
Why Spooky Season is Also Voting Season
I have to ask: Have you voted yet? I know, I know - it feels like we just voted. But this fall communities big and small across the country have elections for everything from congress to who serves on local city councils. And the good news is - you can cast your ballot early! Democracy can often feel like an endurance sport.
I’m a Montana Senator. Our Governor Must Veto the Discriminatory Trans Athlete Ban
Here in Montana, a bill banning trans people from participating in sports corresponding to their gender will arrive on the desk of governor Greg Gianforte in the coming days. The legislation is similar to bills limiting the ability of trans kids to play sports introduced in two dozen states this year. Five states have passed their trans athlete bans into law, but some have stood up to transphobic hate.
Voter suppression agenda is un-American
by Bryce Bennett | April 15, 2021 12:00 AM Voters turned out in record numbers in 2020. Hundreds-of-thousands of folks in our state cast their ballots and exercised their most fundamental right as an American. Unfortunately, Republicans across the nation and here in Montana are working around the clock to take that right away. Today there are 361 bills introduced across 47 states to make it harder for eligible American voters to cast a ballot.

Letter: A wake up call to NCAA athletes, coaches, parents
This in no way represents the US Ski Team’s position, this is my opinion and my personal experience from years of competing in this sport, one of six US male athletes to be in the top-10 this past year. To be clear, I was not asked to write anything—I love this sport and would like to share my limited experience and advice. This will be my ninth year with the ski team; I chose not to go to college.

Rosendale voted against campaign transparency
Montana is a state of trailblazers. We have led the rest of the nation on countless critical issues — from being the first state to elect a woman to Congress, to being one of just a handful of states that continue to reject a regressive statewide sales tax. There is no better example of this trailblazing tradition than Montana’s stand to protect the integrity of our democracy by reining in the overwhelming influence of money in politics.
Brady vs. Eli: Superbowl Preview
In the NFL, teams are defined by their ability to evaluate top-tier talent at quarterback. At the “combine,” the league’s annual physical evaluation of incoming prospects, the distance between a QB’s thumb and pinky finger can cost him millions of dollars. His speed in the 40-yard dash—a distance he will run perhaps once in his career, and even then in fear for his life—can make the difference between the first round and the fifth.
