What was your first job as a journalist?
Meeting with the UT track and field coach once a week and interviewing her about upcoming meets.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
To have a passion about bringing people the news who can not experience things first hand. Being truthful and honest in all of your writing.

Why did you become a journalist?
I have a passion for writing. I love writing about athletes and their stories and I love to share them.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
When I covered the memorial service for legendary Tennessee football broadcaster John Ward.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Take every opportunity that you can. Make sure you have a real passion for it and always give your best in every story.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
A story about the influence former UT women's basketball coach Pat Summit had on the University of Tennessee.

Sweet tea
