GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - An Oconto Falls doctor officially posted bond Wednesday after a federal judge allowed his conditional release, while awaiting a potential re-trial. Isaias Cupino used his property to secure a $500,000 bond in his case. Jail records show he was released July 1. Judge William Griesbach overturned Cupino’s a jury conviction on several child pornography charges last month,saying certain videos shown to the jury were prejudicial.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. — A trial date is now set for the man known as the “Halloween Killer” in his effort to win release from a supervised living facility. The now-77-year-old Gerald Turner murdered and sexually assaulted 9-year-old Lisa French in 1973. Authorities say Turner lured her into his Fond du Lac home when the little girl was trick-or-treating on Halloween night. Turner was released from prison for those crimes in 1994, but was sent back to prison for possessing sexually explicit material.
