Carl Byington (https://carl-byington.com) is an experienced aeronautical engineer, entrepreneur, business owner. adventurer, and writer. Carl is President and Chief Executive Officer of the engineering firm PHM Design, LLC in Ellijay, GA. Prior to this work, Carl served six years as the CBM+ technical lead at Sikorsky Aircraft, a subsidiary company of Lockheed Martin. He was also an owner and Director of Systems Engineering of Impact Technologies, LLC. In earlier work, he led technology development efforts in undersea vehicles at Penn State University in State College, PA, and he performed rocket science at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA.
