Read Full Bio →Carmen is a culture critic writing on film, television, theatre, and opera. She is a lover of musicals, 1950s and 1960s Hollywood, and late romantic opera – essentially, all things maximalist. Much of her work explores the process of cross-medium adaptation, looking at how the same stories are told and re-told across time and formats.
