OK, so here's my Twitter profile: Talk show host, radio and print journalist, editor, speaker, moderator, single mom to amazing twin daughters. Wants enough time to learn EVERYTHING! She/Her. Queer.

Out of college, I started a newspaper for the theatre and film industries in Chicago. It ran for 20 years and was known as the bible for folks who worked in those industries.

Alas, Facebook came along and even I found it easier.

So then I moved to radio hosting. Actually, a door opened to NPR radio …

To write on? No. To type for fun? Yes.

How is social media changing news?

Well, it's changing the business model, for sure. It also takes editorial decisions away from human editors and gives them to algorithms.
