AUSTIN (KXAN) – A Kyle man is facing a felony charge after police say he tried to sell a human skull on Facebook Marketplace. According to an affidavit, Kyle police began investigating on March 1 after receiving a report that a person was offering a real human skull for $3,500 online. Investigators identified the seller as 24-year-old Sean Edward Shymkiw through the Facebook profile connected to the listing. Police said the post had been active for several weeks.

The suspected gunman is also dead, according to authorities. Austin Police officers received calls before 2 a.m. about a man shooting at Buford’s Bar early Sunday morning. According to Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis, an SUV was seen driving in the area before the shooting.
