Identification of Smmhc-expressing mesenchymal cells in orofacial bone at single-cell resolution
Abstract Craniofacial bone regeneration remains a major clinical challenge, yet the identity of orofacial mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (OMSCs) has not been fully elucidated. Here, we performed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) on mouse orofacial bone and identified multiple stromal cell clusters. Cell-cell communication mapping and trajectory inference uncovered the heterogeneity of OMSCs and functional divergence among subpopulations.
The effects of deep cryogenic treatment on M2 high speed steel
Deep cryogenic treatment has been reported to be a beneficial process for improving the properties and microstructure of steels. Generally, deep cryogenic treatment should be combined with tempering to achieve the optimal effects on steels. However, the microscale relationship between deep cryogenic treatment and subsequent tempering is unclear.

Interpretable machine learning based comorbidity specific mortality risk score for bloodstream infections
Discussion This study presents the BHScore, a predictive model that uses machine learning to integrate early-phase (within 7 days post-culture) longitudinal clinical data for predicting 28-day mortality following confirmed BSI. By utilizing XGBoost and SHAP analysis, the model generates a global cohort as well as three comorbidity-specific subgroup scores, addressing pathophysiological heterogeneity through subgroup-optimized stratification.

Increasing Coarse Aerosols Mitigated the Warming Effect of Anthropogenic Fine Particle Reductions in Europe
1 Introduction Aerosols, through aerosol-radiation interactions (ARI) and aerosol-cloud interactions (ACI), are critical to Earth's radiative energy budget, contributing significant uncertainties to contemporary climate change (Bellouin et al., 2020; IPCC, 2021; Lee et al., 2016). The physical properties and chemical composition of aerosols, shaped by both anthropogenic and natural emissions, determine their effective radiative forcing in the climate system.
Detection of Diffuse to Focal Myocardial Fibrosis by Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Against Histology in Mini-Swine
Abstract Background: Myocardial fibrosis predicts adverse outcomes in myocardial infarction (MI) and other cardiovascular conditions. Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) can non-invasively detect focal and diffuse myocardial fibrosis, but comprehensive validation against histology remains scarce. Aims: To assess the comparative diagnostic performance of CMR methods in detecting myocardial fibrosis, using a mini-swine model and histology as gold standard.

Simple Aliovalent Cation Substitution to Induce Strong Optical Anisotropy Enhancement in Rare Thioantimonates (V) Family
Simple Aliovalent Cation Substitution to Induce Strong Optical Anisotropy Enhancement in Rare Thioantimonates (V) Family Thioantimonates containing high oxidation state Sb5+ have proven to exhibit excellent performance in the design of new materials such as infrared optics crystals and lithium-ion batteries. However, as described by the “inert pair effect”, the preparation of P-block elements containing high oxidation states in sealed systems have been a challenge.
Extending mid-infrared wavelength to 6.84 μm in oxide nonlinear optical crystal via birefringence dispersion management
Extending lasing wavelengths to the mid-infrared (MIR) spectrum is vital for both civilian and military applications; however, it remains challenging when employing oxide nonlinear optical crystals.

Robust Image Hashing Using Histogram Reconstruction for Improving Content Preservation Resistance and Discrimination
Abstract : This paper proposes a new image hashing method, which uses histogram reconstruction to solve the problem of the histogram not being sensitive to the change of pixel position, while ensuring the robustness of the hashing algorithm against common content preservation attacks (such as blurring, noise addition and rotation).

A Novel Hybridoma Cell Segmentation Method Based on Multi-Scale Feature Fusion and Dual Attention Network
Abstract : The hybridoma cell screening method is usually done manually by human eyes during the production process for monoclonal antibody drugs. This traditional screening method has certain limitations, such as low efficiency and subjectivity bias. Furthermore, most of the existing deep learning-based image segmentation methods have certain drawbacks, due to different shapes of hybridoma cells and uneven location distribution.
Creating an atlas of the bone microenvironment during oral inflammatory-related bone disease using single-cell profiling
Abstract Oral inflammatory diseases such as apical periodontitis are common bacterial infectious diseases that may affect the periapical alveolar bone tissues. A protective process occurs simultaneously with the inflammatory tissue destruction, in which mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) play a primary role. However, a systematic and precise description of the cellular and molecular composition of the microenvironment of bone affected by inflammation is lacking.

Abstract We demonstrate the tunable difference frequency generation (DFG) of an oxide ${{\rm La}_3}{{\rm Ga}_{5.5}}{{\rm Nb}_{0.5}}{{\rm O}_{14}}$ (LGN) crystal pumped by near-infrared lasers with nanosecond pulses for the first time to our knowledge. The type I and II phase-matching conditions of DFG were calculated in the mid-infrared region.

Abstract Objectives Ageing could be a contributing factor to the progression of temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJ OA), whereas its pathogenesis and potential therapeutic strategy have not been comprehensively investigated. Materials and methods We generated ageing mouse models (45‐week and 60‐week; 12‐week mice as control) and intermittently injected 45‐week mice with parathyroid hormone (PTH(1‐34)) or vehicle for 4 weeks.

An Integrated Self-Healable and Robust Conductive Hydrogel for Dynamically Self-Adhesive and Highly Conformable Electronic Skin Mimicking the mechanical and sensory properties of human skin to develop a highly conformable electronic skin that integrated with robust, self-healable, and ultra-sensitive properties is promising but still a great challenge.
Computer-Aided Gasoline Compositional Model Development Based on GC-FID Analysis
The demand for improved gasoline product quality has helped make molecular-level models become more preferred for the modern refinery. Building the molecular compositional model is an essential first step for this quantitative molecular management of gasoline streams. Gas chromatography equipped with flame ion detection (GC-FID) is commonly used in the gasoline detailed hydrocarbon analysis (DHA). The combination of GC-FID analysis and molecular-level modeling is thus very attractive.
