Extinction-restraint intervention eradicates fear memory encoded in BLA engram cells via D2 receptor-mediated dopaminergic modulation from locus coeruleus
Abstract Despite undergoing exposure therapy, individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) frequently experience relapses when confronted with trauma reminders. This study examined the impact of extinction-restraint intervention (Ext-Res) in a PTSD-related fear relapse model. We found that reactivation of basolateral amygdala engram cells (BLAengram) correlates with relapse following fear reinstatement.
Development and validation of a machine learning-based model for predicting amputation risk in patients with lower extremity arterial disease and diabetes
Abstract Background: Patients with lower extremity arterial disease (LEAD) complicated by diabetes face substantial amputation risk. Pre-amputation death acts as a critical competing event that distorts risk estimation. Validated personalized prediction tools for this population remain scarce and hinder precise clinical interventions.
The IC-SNc neural circuit mediates prepulse inhibition deficits in MPTP-induced Parkinson’s disease male mice
Abstract Clinical studies suggest that Parkinson’s disease (PD) patients exhibit sensorimotor gating impairment, as manifested by deficits in prepulse inhibition (PPI). However, the underlying neural mechanisms remain elusive. Using the MPTP-induced PD mouse model, we demonstrated that substantia nigra pars compacta dopaminergic (SNcDA) neurons damage directly induces a reduction in PPI, whereas activation of these neurons reverses MPTP-induced PPI deficits.

Alternating bilateral sensory stimulation alleviates alcohol-induced conditioned place preference via a superior colliculus-VTA circuit
Highlights • 4-Hz ABS reduces ethanol-induced CPP in mice • 4-Hz ABS decreases VTADA neuron activity in response to ethanol-predictive cue • SC neurons are activated by 4-Hz ABS and project to VTADA neurons • SC-VTADA circuit is sufficient and necessary to relieve ethanol-induced CPP by 4-Hz ABS Summary Alcohol is the most widely used addictive substance, potentially leading to brain damage and genetic abnormalities.
Security of Cyber-Physical Systems of Chemical Manufacturing Industries Based on Blockchain
1. Introduction Currently, the information security environment in the global chemical industry is becoming increasingly severe, and the impact of cyber attacks on chemical safety is further intensifying [1,2]. For example, in 2019, two American chemical companies, Hexion and Momentive, experienced ransomware attacks, resulting in the loss of a large amount of critical production and operational data, and causing huge economic losses to the companies.
