Chris Kanaracus
Chris Kanaracus’s Biography
I cover enterprise apps, a little bit of technology product (think databases, data integration and PaaS) and the issues that affect all software customers: Licensing, pricing, deal negotiation.
One of the things I'm known for is writing about major software project failures and lawsuits filed by customers against vendors. If you have any tips along those lines, please do share!
If you've got product news, it helps to have a customer at the ready to speak with me. Note the use of 'at the ready!' :)
My priorities for product coverage are the big guys: Oracle, SAP, Salesforce.com, Workday, NetSuite, Infor and a few others.
I do cover smaller vendors who I find interesting. How and why I might find a company interesting is taken on a case-by-case basis!
That said I'm very interested in hearing from software companies that are focused on the Internet of Things trend. Anything software-related that may make developing IoT apps, maintaining IoT infrastructure, etc - except for security - I'd lay eyes on and consider coverage. Again - software. Not devices, switches and so forth.
