An incoming freshman at New Canaan High School is already drawing attention from one of the top programs in college football. Eighth-grade quarterback Drew Pyne, who will attend New Canaan in the fall, was offered a scholarship from Florida State, according to the Orlando Sentinel on Tuesday. Pyne comes from a football family, according to the Sentinel.

Seniors lead Westhill past Stratford

STAMFORD — It took seven quarters but the senior leaders on the Westhill boys basketball team finally did what coach Howard White has been begging them to do. Last season it was easy for Westhill to look toward Jeremiah Livingston or CJ Donaldson with the game in the balance, but Wednesday night, with the game tied after three quarters, it was seniors Parrish Rowell and Tyrell Alexander putting the team on their backs.
