Why did you become a journalist?

I love telling stories. Sometimes the best stories are the true ones. I have a voice and love to share what I know and believe.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I wrote news articles — and one editorial — for my school newspaper my senior year.

Never be afraid to use your unique voice.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

People think we just regurgitate news and put political spin on it. That's not true. We do our homework and learn as much as we can.
