What was your first job as a journalist?
I wrote for this local start-up magazine called Tiny Town Buzz. Only been improving since then.
How is social media changing news?
I think that media literacy and accurate reporting are more important than ever. As with anything, we must adapt to the changing landscape.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Just reach out to me. I'm just some guy and I love talking to people.
Who do you wish followed you?
I think that is a poor testament to success and achievement.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
We didn't have one. But we did have an annual literary magazine that I was published in. I still have it.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Every new assignment is a privilege.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Sitting outside in my backyard, watching the birds and other animals in the distance.
