Vaccine induction of heterologous HIV-1-neutralizing antibody B cell lineages in humans
|
Main text (Cell 187, 2919–2934.e1–e10; June 6, 2024) This paper reported the induction of HIV heterologous neutralizing B cell lineages in humans. In reviewing the data in Figure S2 listing the 197 HIV strains tested with the DH1317.4 vaccine-induced bnAb, we noticed that two of the isolates, TRO11 and X1632, were duplicated, i.e., these isolates were tested twice. Thus, the total number of unique viruses tested with the DH1317.4 broad neutralizing antibody (bnAb) has been revised from 197 to 195.

Pomona, N.Y. (5/3/23) The Dominican University New York baseball team completed the 2023 season with a split with the Wildcats of Wilmington University in conference action at Clover Stadium in Pomona, N.Y. Short-term Thinking Won't Deliver Anything But Cuts to British Music
Four months after Arts Council England made cuts to opera companies and orchestras, the BBC is now disbanding its professional choir and promising a 20% cut to its orchestras. Composer Christopher Fox discusses the growing crisis in British music. Oops!… They did it again. Last November I wrote an article lamenting the draconian cuts that Arts Council England had inflicted on classical music.
Music in a Land of Contradictions
Arts Council England's recent funding decisions have set opera companies, orchestras and even musical genres against one another. The controversy demonstrates why musicians have to stand together, writes composer Christopher Fox. How many opera companies does a big city need? Paris has three, Berlin has three, London has two.

EDITORIAL: WHO CARES WHAT COMPOSERS THINK?
Some issues of TEMPO quickly coalesce around a particular topic, often one proposed as a symposium on that subject, such as the articles on Thomas Adès that Edward Venn gathered in the previous issue or Cat Hope's curation of articles that focused on issues of gender representation. Other issues take shape more gradually, sometimes tagged in the editorial schedule as ‘the one in which that article is going to appear’. This is one of those and the article in question is by Kevin Volans.

What Does Brexit Mean for Music?
To lay my cards on the table, I am a European. My mother was born in Germany, my father in England, my son-in-law and my grandchildren are Belgian, three of my children are eligible for Irish passports, and 170 years ago my wife’s great-great-grandfather walked down a lane in County Monaghan on his way to a job in the Tyneside shipyards, never to return.
The vital role of research funding in preserving the oral health of the public and the dental profession
If the United States is serious about improving the nation’s oral health and reducing oral health disparities, it is critical that we continue to invest in dental, oral, and craniofacial research—and in the pipeline, to develop and support future oral health researchers. Research is fundamental to discovering new ways to prevent and address oral disease, and it yields an added benefit. Developing innovative approaches to reduce persistent oral health disparities enables better overall health.

Music for a Dis-Uniting Kingdom?
Across Europe democracy is in the throes of dynamic change. The results may not be the same – so far in 2015, at opposite corners of the EU, the headline electoral beneficiaries have been Syriza and the Scottish National Party – but there seems to be an underlying belief that people’s views have gone unheeded for too long. It would be good to think that music is somehow representing this tide of popular energy, this bursting of pent-up frustration.
World’s Largest Sovereign Wealth Fund to Invest in Clean Energy
How are investors, businesses and governments doing on the road to the Clean Trillion goal of $1 trillion per year invested in clean energy? Here are my thoughts on the progress and challenges we’ve seen recently. Norway announced in March that it would require its $840 billion sovereign wealth fund (the largest in the world) to invest a portion of its assets in clean energy.
