Areas included in this extreme risk include parts of Los Angeles and Ventura counties where wildfires that ignite will spread rapidly and erratically posing a significant risk to property and life.

Thursday, December 5, 2024 7:47 PM A Tsunami Warning is in effect for coastal Oregon and the coast of Northern California, including the San Francisco Bay after a magnitude 7.0 earthquake occurred just off the coast of Northern California. The earthquake was about 40 miles WNW of Petrolia, California at around a depth of 4/10ths of a mile [so a very shallow earthquake].
