Weather has been a huge passion and dream ever since Christopher can remember. Growing up in the small town of Quitman, Arkansas, located along the Ozarks, Christopher was exposed to all kinds of weather. On April 27, 2014, an EF-4 tornado ripped through his neighboring town of Vilonia, Arkansas. He will never forget the many precious lives that were taken and the livelihoods that were disrupted forever. Chilly air settles in tonight, with most of Arkansas dropping into the mid-40s. A few areas across the north could dip into the lower 40s or even upper 30s. We’re not expecting a widespread frost, but if you have sensitive plants, it’s a good idea to cover them just to be safe. Sunshine returns Sunday with highs in the mid-70s, followed by even warmer weather Monday as temperatures climb into the 80s. The start of the week stays quiet and comfortable.

We’ve got a beautiful weekend in store with highs reaching the lower 70s today. Low temperatures tonight will be a bit on the cool side with many areas into the upper 40s to lower 50s. Sunshine sticks around up until late Monday. Clouds increase Monday night and into Tuesday ahead of our next storm system. A low risk for severe weather will be present Tuesday afternoon and evening. Scattered showers and thunderstorms may form ahead of a cold front that is set to push through the state.
