Abstract American sloughgrass [Beckmannia syzigachne (Steud.) Fernald] is a problematic annual grass weed in winter wheat fields of China, which causes great loss of wheat yield. A lack of high-quality genome resources has hindered understanding of the Herbicide resistance characteristics and ecological adaptations.

Abstract Cheirotonus jansoni is a nationally protected and ornamental beetle species endemic to southern China, northern Burma, and Vietnam. Due to habitat degradation and illegal collection, its populations have declined significantly, prompting urgent conservation efforts. Here, we present a high-quality, chromosome-level genome assembly for C. jansoni to support future ecological and evolutionary studies.
