Colin is a retired Army lieutenant colonel with decades of experience managing people, resources and missions in sensitive positions throughout the Defense Intelligence Enterprise and elsewhere. He has extensive exposure to the inter-agency community, including an assignment as an accredited diplomat at the US Embassy in Baghdad. He spent a total of 52 months in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In the Army, Colin commanded two Military Intelligence detachments that protected highly classified informaiton and conducted sensitve counterintelligence investigations, a Military Intelligence company that conducted interrogations in Afghanistan, and a Military Intelligence battalion that conducted counterintelligence investigations and operations to protect the Army's most sensitive programs. Now retired, Colin is pursuing a Master of Public Administration Degree at American University in Washington, D.C.
His professional passion is restoring civility and productivity to American politics, and he's been a grateful and frequent contributor to The Baltimore Sun and other regional and national publications. He knows our country is a force for good and believes that Americans owe it to our children, and to all the generations that follow, to be great stewards of this extraordinary place.
Colin serves on the vestry of St. Anne's Episcopal Church and in numerous other capacities in the parish. He also volunteers with Walk the Walk Foundation, an organization that collects and distributes diapers to families in need, and with the Severn Leadership Group, an organization that works to turn mid-career professionals into virtuous leaders.
