TACOMA, Wash. — Wildlife officials euthanized five squirrels in the Browns Point area of northeast Tacoma after at least one person reported being bitten, according to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW). The incident was reported to them the morning of March 20. WDFW said this is the only confirmed biting incident. The Pierce County Sheriff's Office said their animal control unit received two recent complaints regarding the squirrels in that area.
