Considering the effect the current administration has had on our country and our personal lives, what should we believe that silence tells us?

Tax-shifting ideas won't prevent property tax increases for long | The Day
Despite the conscientious work demonstrated last week in its report about easing the burden of property taxes, the Connecticut Citizens Assembly — a project of the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities — didn't tell the state anything it didn't know. Mainly the group increased the momentum for having state government assume all municipal costs of "special education," a compelling idea to which Gov. Ned Lamont is sympathetic.
Potpourri on democracy | The Day
Serbia and Hungary just voted out their authoritarian leaders and Brazil ran Flávio Bolsonaro out of the country. Meanwhile 34% of Americans embrace lawbreaking, grifting, bullying, warmongering authoritarianism. That urinates on them and tells them it's raining.
