Previously, I worked as the environment and govermental policy reporter for the Beaumont Enterprise.

I am from Michigan and graduated from Central Michigan University in 2022. During my time in college, I worked for Central Michigan Life in a variety of roles.

Calcasieu Parish District Attorney Stephen Dwight will go on to serve another six-year term, winning his election by default after no other candidates opted to run for the post. Dwight, a Moss Bluff native, was the only person who qualified to run for lead prosecutor of the 14th Judicial District Court in the Nov. 3 election.

City of Lake Charles approves plan for new Medicaid fund for local hospitals

Hospitals in Lake Charles will soon see a new source of funding through a program designed to augment Medicaid payments. In a Wednesday meeting packed with white coats, the City Council voted to establish the Lake Charles Local Provider Participation Fund Program. The vote was unanimous, with Council President Stuart Weatherford abstaining.
