TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Nearly 20,000 people were reported missing in Ohio last year. A majority were found, but more than 300 children are still out there. The numbers mark a decline from the previous year. Last year’s total was 1,400 fewer missing persons reports than the year before. A majority of the missing people were children. They may have run away, been in the middle of a custody battle or worse. Nearly 9 percent of the children reported missing were found safe.

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - The daughter of a Lenawee County woman who went missing in the Bahamas said she has doubts about her stepfather’s account of what happened. Brian Hooker, 59, was arrested Wednesday in Abaco and is being questioned by authorities. He reported his wife, Lynette Hooker, 55, missing early Sunday after he said she fell overboard with the boat keys from an 8-foot motorboat near Elbow Cay on Saturday night.

A K-9 officer for Ohio’s Ottawa County Major Crimes Unit, named Oak, can find any device where data is stored. He’s trained to sniff out adhesive that is used on storage devices where child sexual abuse material, or CSAM, could be hiding.
