In brief The EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) applies to companies and groups headquartered outside the EU, if they generate more than €450 million in EU turnover and have an EU subsidiary or branch with turnover exceeding €200 million. Such businesses will be required to make sustainability disclosures in line with European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) from 2029, for financial years beginning on or after 1 January 2028.
