Above are screenshots taken from 4 trailers from 4 distinct Chinese games that were shown at The Game Awards 2025. I dare you, try to identify each one. I’ll even list their names below: -Wuthering Waves -Arknights: EndField -Duet Night Abyss -Zenless Zone Zero This is a problem mostly found among F2P gacha Chinese games (mostly, but not only). They pretty much all look the same, I’ll be the first to admit.

This is an intentionally short post where I “recycle” content from my Twitter. I just hate seeing interesting footnotes lost to Twitter’s tide of information. CD Projekt Red and RedNote ran a pop-up shop in Shanghai, at the Red Corner Cafe, from November 4th to 11th. Red Corner is a one-location coffee shop from the popular social media platform RedNote (小红书 - XiaoHongShu).

Return of an Icon to a Market That’s Moved On

StarCraft 2 officially returned to China on October 28, 2025. Long story short, after NetEase and Blizzard breakup during 2023, they reconciled in April 2024, and now Chinese servers and operations for some of Blizzard games are being reestablished since, gradually.
