Daniel Danis’s Biography
Daniel Danis O. Agot is a seasoned communications and development professional with over 15 years of experience designing and delivering donor-funded programs in fragile and conflict-affected contexts. He brings deep expertise in behavior change interventions, policy advocacy, and strategic communications that drive measurable social impact.
His strategic communications experience includes serving as Communications Specialist for a USAID-funded Youth Empowerment program, where he led high-impact advocacy campaigns, media engagement, and multi-stakeholder coordination—significantly enhancing program visibility, influence, and results. Previously, as Strategic Advocacy Coordinator at Save the Children, he built the capacity of more than 30 partner non-governmental organizations in policy influence, gender-responsive programming, and community mobilization.
At Eye Radio, Daniel managed USAID-funded media initiatives, trained journalists on ethical and conflict-sensitive reporting, and developed risk management frameworks to protect press freedom while advancing social and behavior change communication objectives.
Beyond his development work, Danis is a filmmaker and playwright, and the founder of Humanitarian Media and Advocacy Agency, Give South Sudan, and co-founder of the South Sudan Press Club and Woyee Film & Theatre Industry. He is also an entrepreneur, leveraging creative and media platforms to amplify civic engagement, cultural expression, and social transformation.
