There are endless reasons why anime resonate with audiences and go on to become evergreen classics, whether it’s the visuals, characters, or the surprising twists and turns the story takes. Unfortunately, all this can be for naught when a lackluster ending becomes the series’ final statement to the world. Endings aren’t everything, and there are plenty of anime that explicitly argue that the journey is just as important as the destination.
