Hot countries are set to get hotter due to climate change. This much we know. But what we’re still to work out is how exactly rising temperatures are going to affect society and the economy. At Verisk Maplecroft we’ve taken a stab at the economic effect, focusing on the impacts of heat stress in particular regions. Heat stress is more than simply being hot – it’s a combination of heat and humidity measured by something called the wet bulb globe thermometer (WBGT).

Chances are, as long as you’ve been in sales, you might have had one or two accounts that don’t get along with you or vice versa. No matter what you try to do or say, this customer won’t hear any of it. You both don’t click, they feel you don’t get them and you feel they are not even giving you a fair chance. All I can say is that these things happen, life as we know it, won’t always go your way.
