Sacramento Police Investigate Afternoon Shooting on Broadway That
A mid-afternoon shooting in Sacramento yesterday has left two people injured, prompting an intensive law enforcement investigation. The Sacramento Police Department received calls concerning the incident shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Broadway, an area flanked by commercial entities such as a Walgreens and a Golden 1 Credit Union branch. According to FOX40, two victims, a man and a woman, were transported to the hospital following the shooting.

The Baby Bank, originally founded in Windsor, has been running a Christmas Pyjama Appeal for the past five years.

The NHS must stop putting patients first
Here’s a simple question – what is the top priority for the NHS? I was prompted to ask myself this tricky question after seeing the recent Apollo 11 documentary. The film showed President Kennedy in 1962 setting out the wonderfully straightforward single objective of sending a giant rocket safely to the moon and back by the end of the decade – which of course NASA achieved. Inspired by the film I set out on my own mission – to discover the single most important priority for the NHS in 2019.

Whenever I discuss home building with anyone the issue of money comes up and dominates the conversation, as though money is the only tool used for building. A few years ago, while calculating the actual cost basis of a project I was working on, I needed to know what the price would be for a home purchased in the prescribed manner.

Bitcoin Hash Rate Rapidly Growing Despite Price
Despite Bitcoin’s 2018 price slump, the dominant cryptocurrency’s hash rate continues to surge at an astonishing pace. Although the value of Bitcoin has decreased by 53% since January 1st, 2018, the hash rate has increased 155% in the same time period. The continued growth in hash power demonstrates a strong, continued belief in Bitcoin by miners worldwide and may foreshadow a hidden bullish trend.
FCC Chairman Ajit Pai says the first two 5G-specific high-band spectrum auctions in the US are coming in November, with more to follow in 2019. The auctions will sell off the 28GHz millimeter wave (mmWave) band, with the bidding expected to start November 14, and the 24GHz band to be sold off "immediately afterward," Pai said. He announced the auctions on a blog on Medium. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will vote to finalize the rules on the auctions at meeting on August 2.

Atlanta Braves Go to Bat for Transformation
