Ta decyzja USA może zmienić wszystko. To największy koszmar Władimira Putina [OPINIA]
OPINION: Why ‘Sanctioning Russia Act’ Is Putin’s Biggest Nightmare
Russia’s biggest nightmare surfaced last week when Kremlin spokesman Dimitry Peskov condemned the Lindsay Graham Sanctioning Russia Act. This sanction bill is an economic wrecking ball aimed at Russia and those buying their energy products. This extensive sanction bill mandates a 100% maximum tariff on the five largest countries buying Russian oil and gas and punishes countries helping Russia evade sanctions.
How Russia’s Cultural Projects Conceal Their Human Atrocities
In early November a musical concert of appalling hypocrisy will occur in Annapolis, Maryland. Russian violinist Vadim Repin, who is aligned with Vladimir Putin, will perform at the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra (ASO). Unfortunately, most Americans are oblivious to Russia’s weaponized culture. Russia exports musicians to the international stage to divert attention away from their war crimes. This so-called “soft culture weapon” increasingly bolsters Russia’s war.
A comprehensive map of missense trafficking variants in rhodopsin and their response to pharmacologic correction
Abstract INTRODUCTION RESULTS DISCUSSION MATERIALS AND METHODS Acknowledgments Supplementary Materials REFERENCES Information & Authors Metrics & Citations View Options References Figures Tables Media Share Abstract Rhodopsin (RHO) missense variants are a leading cause of autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa (adRP), a progressive retinal degeneration. Interpreting RHO variant pathogenicity is challenging, and understanding their disease mechanisms is essential for developing therapeutics.
Expanding the human proteome with microproteins and peptideins

Abstract A major scientific drive is to characterize the protein-coding genome, which is a primary basis for studying human health. But the fundamental question remains of what has been missed in previous analyses. Over the past decade, the translation of non-canonical open reading frames (ncORFs) has been observed across human cell types and disease states1,2,3, with major implications for biomedical science.

Donald Trump może pogrążyć swoich kolegów. Zostało tylko kilka miesięcy, by to zatrzymać [OPINIA]
OPINION: Trump’s Kremlin Policies Threaten GOP’s Future
US President Donald Trump’s voter approval rating now stands at a dismal 34% according to a Reuters poll. The GOP is facing a midterm massacre unless they reign in Trump’s pro-Russia policies that are harming Ukraine and the American economy with soaring energy costs and inflation. An April 27 meeting between Iran’s Foreign minister and Russian President Vladimir Putin should alarm Congress. The added participation of Russia’s chief of military intelligence is alarming.
Porażka Vance’a w Budapeszcie.
Vance wkroczył z impetem do węgierskiej kampanii prezydenckiej. 9 kwietnia Vance przebywał w Budapeszcie, gdzie energicznie wspierał autorytarnego Orbana, zagorzałego sojusznika domniemanego zbrodniarza wojennego Władimira Putina.
OPINION: JD Vance’s Hungary Debacle Revisited
As a Reagan conservative I found it rather troubling that Vice President JD Vance recently interfered in Hungary’s Presidential election. On April 9, Vance was in Budapest vigorously campaigning for the authoritarian Orbán, a staunch ally of alleged war criminal, Vladimir Putin. But was just the very beginning of the fallout. On April 12, Orbán was delivered a crushing defeat by Péter Magyar, the new Prime Minister-elect.
Trump czyni Rosję znów wielką. Putin pomaga Iranowi zabijać Amerykanów, a w nagrodę dostaje zniesienie sankcji [OPINIA]
David Root zasiada w zarządzie organizacji non-profit US Ukrainian Activists.
The Iran War Is Making Russia Great – Not America
20 hours ago Iran parliament speaker says US president using idea of talks to ‘escape quagmire in which US and Israel are trapped’. Senior Iranian officials have denied that Iran held talks with the United States, just hours after US President Donald Trump claimed “very good and productive conversations” had …
The Iran War Is Making Russia Great – Not America
The Trump administration’s proclamation of success in Iran skewers reality. Underneath the political fluff lies the truth. Russia is the biggest culprit and winner in the Iran War poised to wreck the global economy. Many Americans were disappointed after the Trump administration rewarded Russia with oil sanctions relief, despite Russia providing intelligence to help Iran strike Americans. Follow our coverage of the war on the @Kyivpost_official. This was just the beginning.

OPINION: America and Ukraine Must Defeat a Common Enemy: Russia
A US decision to remove newly implemented sanctions on Russian oil purchased from India is an abomination that benefits Russia to the detriment of both America and our ally, Ukraine. The sanction relief proposal aims to curb high oil prices as a consequence of the Iran war. However, this proposal coupled with skyrocketing oil prices will boost Russia’s oil revenues so they can continue their genocidal war in Ukraine. It also sets the stage for further relief for Moscow.
Why the Olympic Committee Should Ban Russia Forever
The banning of Ukrainian skeleton slider Vladyslav Heraskevych at the Winter Olympics is yet another soft weapon benefiting Russia. He was banned by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) simply for wearing a helmet depicting 12 Ukrainian athletes killed by Russia.
Seria ciosów w skarbnicę Rosji. Trump odcina żyłę złota Putina. "Nie będzie w stanie kontynuować wojny" [OPINIA]
Jesteśmy w trakcie światowej gry o najwyższą stawkę prowadzonej przez siły zbrojne i pośredników, w której biorą udział Rosja, Chiny, Iran, Stany Zjednoczone i Europa.
Opinion: Trump’s Weaponization of Oil Is Russia’s Death Knell
1 day ago For the Russian leader, courting President Trump to secure a favorable resolution in Ukraine, and possibly more, is far more important. Sitting on a gilded chair in the green drawing room of the Grand Kremlin Palace, Nicolás Maduro, the leader of Venezuela, turned to President Vladimir V. Putin of …
Trump’s Weaponization of Oil Is Russia’s Death Knell
Those political pundits protesting the arrest of Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro are missing the point. The United States started the New Year by waging total war against Russia, aimed at annulling their oil revenues that finances their war machine. From this point forward Russia is doomed. Trump’s War started on Jan. 2 with Amerca’s control of Venezuela’s oil reserves, followed by US Coast guard seizures of several Russian oil vessels that were evading sanctions. On Jan.
America Must Stop Russia’s War Against Ukrainian Children
The US State Department has some explaining to do after refusing to participate in the Senate hearing: “The Abduction of Ukrainian Children by the Russian Federation.” The hearing revealed Russia’s abduction of Ukrainian kids with unimaginable torture and terror. The State Department’s no-show at the hearing messages contempt for the lives of children everywhere – and not just Ukraine.
Open Forum: "Peace plan" will annihilate Ukraine
Controversy rages on after the Trump administration sold out Ukraine with a Russia/Ukraine peace plan that overwhelmingly favors Russia’s fascist regime. Forget about the well-intentioned purpose and title, “a 28-point peace plan” to end Russia’s war in Ukraine. This is a Russian manufactured and U.S. backed blueprint for the annihilation of Ukraine’s sovereignty, cultural identity and future survival. On Nov.
How Russia’s Culture Warfare Threatens Humanity
Under Vladimir Putin’s direction, Russia has transformed its culture into a stealth weapon that is aimed to destroy Ukraine’s culture, its identity and people. This overarching theme was repeatedly mentioned at this week’s Ukraine Action Summit in Washington, DC. The cultural warfare played out in Washington in early October when ethnic Russians accosted a group of Ukrainian supporters, including myself.
Russia Faces Catastrophe Because of Ukrainian Perseverance
Skeptics beware. Russia is facing a catastrophic failure in their war against Ukraine. This thought was validated last week when US President Donald Trump blurted out on social media his eulogy on Russia’s defeat, declaring: Ukraine “can win back all its territory” seized by Russia and “Russia is a paper tiger”. Trump’s reversal from his previous seemingly Pro Russia stance towards favoring Ukraine is a better-late-than-never acknowledgment of reality.
40 Million Reasons to Honor Iryna Zarutska
Even more sinister than the actual murder of 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, is the cruel public reaction. Sympathy for the victim has been hijacked by right- and left-wing politicians, as well as media pundits leading incendiary racial attacks in all directions. Why can’t Americans understand that this tragedy is a microcosm of the ongoing death and suffering being experienced by 40 million Ukrainian civilians facing Russia’s daily murderous aggression?

Poplecznicy Putina w Kongresie USA. Wpływowa republikanka powiela kremlowską propagandę. To podstępne przeinaczanie rzeczywistości [OPINIA]
W ostatnim czasie pojawiło się wiele artykułów opisujących wojnę dezinformacyjną Luny przeciwko Ukrainie. Niedawno krytykowała ona prezydenta Ukrainy Wołodymyra Zełenskiego za sabotowanie wolności religijnej poprzez "zakazanie działalności Kościoła prawosławnego". Jest to podstępne przeinaczenie rzeczywistości. To Rosja jest krajem, którego siły okupacyjne brutalnie zamykają kościoły w Ukrainie.
Hockey Superstar Ovechkin Is No Guardian Angel
Imagine for a moment an American hockey superstar advocating support for Russia’s initial war against Ukraine, which has evolved into the most terrible destructive war in Europe since World War II. Unfortunately, this is not imaginary. Alex Ovechkin, captain for the Washington Capitals hockey team recently broke the NHL’s all-time scoring record. But his political involvement with Russian President Vladimir Putin and support for Russia’s war in Ukraine mars the celebration.
What's the Better Way to Mediate: In Person or Virtually?
I recently mediated a high dollar civil injury case where everyone attended in person. The two sides exchanged nickel-and-dime proposals. Impasse loomed. Fed up with this, one lawyer told me he wanted to meet directly with his counterpart. I ushered the two opposing lawyers to a room where they sat down across a small table. They talked directly to each other, candidly and civilly. I soon felt the tension subside and the level of trust rise.

Trump Must Stand With Ukraine or Lose in November
Donald Trump’s startling claim that he has “a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin” and can make a deal to stop the war faces voter backlash. Many view this as a Russian victory for the personal pleasure of Putin, a wanted war criminal and terrorist who allegedly directed the abduction of 700,000 Ukrainian children. The Trump/Vance ticket has everything to lose and nothing to gain by advocating policies aimed at slashing support for Ukraine.
The Pope Is Wrong. Russia Sabotages Christianity, Not Ukraine
“Churches are not to be touched,” Pope Francis proclaimed. His messaging was part of an Aug. 25 Vatican mass denouncing Ukraine for passing a law prohibiting religious organizations affiliated with Russia from operating in Ukraine. Unfortunately, Pope Francis has the wrong country. Ukraine is a beacon of religious freedom while Russia brutally sabotages religious liberties. The Pope says churches are untouchable. Really? What about the according to the Institute for Religious Freedom?
JD Vance Is Sabotaging Christianity, Ukraine and America
In American politics if it quacks like a phony duck, it’s a phony. Senator JD Vance, the GOP Vice Presidential pick is the ultimate phony politician who is vigorously promoting Russian disinformation aimed at sabotaging the Christian country of Ukraine. Vance, a Freshman Ohio Senator is leading a crusade against Ukraine and its 34 million Christians facing persecution by Russian forces.
Ukraine Represents True Spirit of America
Nearly 250 years after America was created, Ukraine has become a beacon of hope symbolized by the statue of Liberty. Like a loving parent protecting their child, America has a natural obligation to fully support Ukraine, America’s favorite young Democracy. America’s resolve was recently tested after Russia launched strikes that destroyed a Ukrainian children’s hospital as the NATO Summit convened. Russia is messaging that NATO is irrelevant and Russia will win regardless of the human cost.
The More Trials, the Better the Settlement
I retired as a civil trial lawyer a couple of years ago and became a mediator. Mediators preach the gospel of “Don’t litigate—mediate!” The paramount virtue is case resolution and trial avoidance. Our success is measured by whether or not we get the case settled. Having said this, I will go out on a limb and suggest: Lawyers should try more cases. Want to continue reading?
Marjorie Greene Is a Liability for Ukraine and America Too
It’s high time for the US House of Representatives to censure a Russian ally in Congress, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). The New York Post has featured her as “Moscow Marjorie” for waging a Pro-Kremlin disinformation war to the detriment of Ukraine and America. Unfortunately, Greene is more than a mouthpiece for the Kremlin’s imperialistic ambitions.
US Senate Struggles to Clinch Border Deal, Ukraine Aid at Stake
Bipartisan US Senate talks on a border security deal that some have set as a condition for further Ukraine aid have hit a critical point, lawmakers said on Thursday (25 January), though the chamber’s top Democrat said the negotiators would continue to push forward. A small group of senators has spent months trying to iron out an agreement to address the flow of migrants across the US-Mexico border.
Death Toll from Russian Strike on Kharkiv Rises to 11
The death toll from Russian missile strikes on Ukraine’s second city Kharkiv has risen to 11, officials said on Friday. In one of the largest waves of aerial bombardments in weeks, more than 100 people were injured and at least 18 killed after Russian missiles struck across Ukraine -- including the capital Kyiv and northeastern Kharkiv -- early Monday. The Kharkiv prosecutor’s office said Friday that a 61-year-old woman succumbed to injuries, taking the number killed in just that city to 11.
Ukraine National Railways to Create Drone Unit to Protect Its Tracks
Ukraine’s railways operator is to form a drone division comprised of war veterans to monitor the state of its rail network, the company has announced. The plan to use drones was outlined on the Ukrzaliznytsia 's official Facebook page.
Russia Using the Sea to Disguise Shahed Drone Attacks Against Ukraine
Russia has been deploying Shahed kamikaze drones from the sea in recent attacks, where waves coupled with the adverse weather conditions, help mask the engine sound as the drones approached their targets. The drones fly low over the water surface then ascend drastically over the coast and head directly for residential areas, said Natalia Humeniuk, spokesperson for Ukraine’s Southern Operation Command, on national television.
Russian Court Extends US Journalist Gershkovich’s Detention by 2 Months
A Moscow court on Friday extended until March 30 the detention of Evan Gershkovich, an American Wall Street Journal reporter held in Moscow on espionage charges which he denies. “The period of detention of Evan Gershkovich ... is extended by two months ... till March 30,” the court said on Telegram. Gershkovich, his employer and the US government vehemently reject the spying charges, the first to be levelled against a foreign journalist since the Soviet era.
Congress is Squandering the Future of Ukraine and America
The failure of the US Congress to pass a Ukraine aid package is a reckless strategy seemingly aimed at forcing fantasy peace negotiations with Russia. Where is the moral righteous from Congress, and when will they realize that arming Ukraine is the only realistic pathway to peace? The current deadlock over Ukraine aid has reignited Russian President Vladimir Putin’s escalation of terror. Starting on Dec. 29, Putin ordered missile strikes on Ukrainian cities that have killed or wounded 600 civilians.
Malta Hosts Fresh Round of Ukraine-Backed Peace Talks
A third round of Ukrainian-backed peace talks opens in Malta Saturday with representatives from more than 50 countries. But Moscow, denouncing it as “a blatantly anti-Russian event” is staying away. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hopes the two-day meeting, held behind closed doors, will drum up support for his 10-point plan to end the war sparked by Russia’s February 2022 invasion. It follows similar summits in Jeddah and Copenhagen this summer.
‘Other-Worldly Lies’ - Russia is Upset About Accusations of Executed Soldiers
Russia has responded angrily to White House accusations its military has been executing soldiers who refuse to follow orders, claiming they were made up to justify the “failed” Ukrainian counteroffensive. “Whoever came up with these other-worldly lies could only have been a person with an imagination far into overdrive,” the Russian embassy in Washington said in comments reported by Kremlin state media.
If Putin Does Die, Who Could Replace Him?
Endless rumors about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s health have intensified speculation among experts that his quarter-of-a-century rule could be close to an end. Whilst there may be no shortage of those wanting to replace him, none has yet emerged as a clear front runner. It has been Putin’s strategy all along to “divide and rule,” ensuring no risk of a “palace revolution” to threaten him; furthermore, he has not named a preferred successor, at least not publicly.
Russia’s Greatest Ally: Disinformed Americans
Unbeknownst to many Americans, a disinformation war against Ukraine is being promulgated by politicians and media personalities with hoax stories that Ukraine funding will bankrupt America or Ukraine is full of Nazi’s. All Americans should stop aiding and abetting Russia’s genocide by spreading this plethora of false information around. First, those placing Nazi labels on ethnic Ukrainians are committing atrocities against adults and children.
Ukrainian Drone Strikes Kursk
A Ukrainian drone strike hit an administrative building in the centre of Russia's southern Kursk city, authorities said Sunday. Kyiv has targeted Russian cities with almost daily attacks in recent months of Moscow's offensive, ongoing for 19 months. Kursk is around 90 kilometres (50 miles) from the border with Ukraine. "In Kursk, a Ukrainian drone attacked an administrative building in the central district," governor Roman Starovoyt said on Telegram. "The roof was slightly damaged.

Second Ukraine Wheat Shipment Reaches Turkey: Tracking Sites
A second shipment of Ukrainian wheat reached Turkey via the Black Sea on Sunday, according to maritime traffic monitoring sites, despite Russian threats to attack boats heading to or from its neighbour and enemy. The Palau-flagged bulk carrier Aroyat -- laden with 17,600 tonnes of wheat -- left the port city of Chornomorsk on Friday bound for Egypt.
