Read Full Bio →As a transportation and ag journalist, I "cover the waterfront"--that is, the inland barge and towing sector--for The Waterways Journal, a trade weekly that has published continuously since 1887. Time spent as a merchant seaman on both "blue water" and "brown water" vessels gave me a familiarity with the industry.
