The endless discussion of the Paramount Skydance merger effort with Warner Bros Discovery has me exhausted, as I’m sure it does you. As I was discussing on my David Reads The Trades podcast this week, I suddenly realized that if you take away the people who HATE the idea and the people who LOVE the idea, you get to the most basic question… what will this merger look like if it happens and nothing dramatic happens.

There is a fair amount that of the story structure for Brand New Day that is given up in the trailers and ads. Now that I have seen the movie, I am able to put it all in some kind of order. The movie is really 4 stories happening at once… kind of a supersized comic book run of 8 or more books with all these stories coming together in a variety of ways.
