10 ‘Rotten’ Horror Movie Sequels That Are Actually Great
Movies Sign in to your CBR account It's not an easy job to deliver a fantastic sequel to an overwhelmingly successful movie. A sequel's reception has a lot to do with anticipation, how good the original is, and if it offers something new while not doing too much to alienate the established fan base. Film sequels have to juggle many aspects. Being a horror sequel, like Saw III or The Exorcist III, just makes things even harder.
10 Scariest Horror Movie Sequels of All Time
Movies Published 4 minutes ago Sign in to your CBR account It’s one thing to create a memorable and classic horror movie. It’s a whole different thing to be able to keep up the same quality twice. With a genre as massive and diverse as horror, many incredible filmmakers have been able to almost replicate their successes. Whether with new additions or refreshed ideas, many horror franchises have created sequel movies that are just as beloved as the original.
Every Halloween Movie, Ranked by Body Count
Halloween Published 4 minutes ago Sign in to your CBR account In 1978, John Carpenter's Halloween introduced the world to a whole new breed of slasher in the form of The Shape, better known as Michael Myers. In the character's debut outing, Michael more than proved himself as a prolific slasher, easily earning him a top spot as one of the genre's most iconic figures.
10 Long-Awaited Sequels That Were Actually Worth the Wait
Ghostbusters Published 5 minutes ago Sign in to your CBR account Hollywood has long turned to sequels as a way of extending the relevance and success of iconic franchises, from slashers like Psycho to action movies like Die Hard. Typically, the film industry will release sequels in close succession, establishing a consistency for fans to count on regular outings for their favorite heroes until no longer profitable.
10 Greatest '90s Slasher Horror Movies, Ranked
Scream Published 2 minutes ago Sign in to your CBR account Horror movies have covered a wide range of sub-genres since the earliest days of Hollywood, from supernatural haunting stories to creature feature monster movies. One of the greatest corners of the genre is the slasher, which has given horror some of its greatest icons, from Leatherface and Michael Myers to Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger. Every decade puts its spin on the sub-genre, and the 1990s were no different.

Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (4K SteelBook Review)
Estimated reading time: 7 minutes The seventh entry in the horror franchise started by John Carpenter in 1978, Halloween H20, coming twenty years later, is also one of its weakest. We find out that Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) faked her death to escape from the unkillable Michael Myers. She changed her name and became headmistress at a private boarding school where her son, John (Josh Hartnett), also attends.

Halloween Ends (2022) - IMDb
I'm not sure who thought this script was a good idea because it's not. If there is a film in film school called "How to ruin a franchise" this would be it. As a lifelong die hard Halloween fan I have a love for the good ones and the bad but this along with Halloween Kills is just a no. So much potential was wasted and im not even going to mention the plot or any details. Halloween Ends is an insult to the characters, the ideas and the franchise. It borders offensive.

The Fog (1980) John Carpenter, Jamie Lee Curtis - Show Me the Sequel!
Back when the remake boom began, one reason why fans would be upset when remakes were announced is because the assumption was made that a remake would prevent the original story from being continued through sequels.

Dispensing Sample Medications: Patient Safety Strategies
By DEBRA KANE HILL, MBA, RN Dispensing free sample medications to patients is commonplace in medical and dental offices. With safeguards in place, it can contribute to improved clinical results and generate goodwill between the practitioner and the patient. Free sample medications are convenient for patients—particularly those who lack financial or transportation resources—and can improve timeliness and compliance with medication regimens.
Halloween: Resurrection
Jamie Lee Curtis hated the idea of a sequel, as she felt that Laurie had a satisfying ending in the previous film. She initially refused to be in this film, until she ultimately agreed to do her part, only under the condition that she is killed off in the opening of the film so as to make sure her character, Laurie Strode (or herself) wouldn't appear in another sequel.

Rukas (1980) ⭐ 6.8 | Horror, Thriller
The Fog is an instant horror classic from the first scene- a salty, old sailor tells a group of young children the true story of a ghostly, wrecked ship. The scene was so simple yet so thrilling that the viewer is hooked (no pun intended) for the rest of the film. The cast is great and the music sets the tone just as it did for Halloween. The best part of the film is that it made no attempt to explain everything away in a hokey horror sense (Why are the bodies returning to life?).
