Paramount House Hotel
IN WHAT WAS once known as Sydney’s Little Hollywood, Paramount House Hotel joins a buzzy cultural hub occupying the former headquarters of Paramount Pictures Australia. The hospitality-centric boutique accommodation shares the heritage-listed block with Golden Age, a cinema and bar in the former studio’s screening room; the revered Paramount Coffee Project; the rooftop Paramount Recreation Club; and the diminutive wine bar and eatery, Poly.
Creativity In Motion
How do you shoot the best and brightest of the new collections during a worldwide pandemic? By getting creative as never before. This month, Vogue joined forces with an army of photographers and models all around the globe—stable Zoom connections required, please!—and sent clothes via courier services everywhere from Beijing to Brazil, Lagos to Los Angeles. Our concept? Simple, glorious movement: After a year of stasis, immobility and lockdowns, we wanted to see spring fashion breaking free.
COVID-19 creates 'go-to' stories for expectant parents
Being a parent, especially a parent who is expecting, is an enormous responsibility to say the least. When you get the news, chances are, you will have your fair share of fears and concerns. Whether you’re new to the job or you know how to work your way around a diaper bag, you will be challenged.
The Travel Stories We're Reading to Escape Right Now
Right now, we're confined to dreaming about travel rather than actually doing it. So what better way to transport yourself somewhere new than by getting lost in stories that capture the magic of it? We tapped our editors and writers to share some of their favorite Condé Nast Traveler pieces from the past few years, spanning everything from an epic adventure in a remote slice of Russia, to a mother and son finding zen in Kyoto, to horseback riding in the rugged American wilderness.

Chasing Light Through Colour: A Conversation with Liz Nielsen
By layering exposures and filtrations of light onto photo paper in the darkroom, artist Liz Nielsen creates innovative dimensions, landscapes and objects seemingly out of thin air. This photogram process – an historical photographic method championed by seminal figures like Anna Atkins and Man Ray – takes on a crucially contemporary perspective in Nielsen’s work. Instead of static scientific documentation, she’s interested in exploring intangible theories of quantum physics and alternative worlds.
Exploring Kamchatka, Russia's Adventure Playground
Berry picking in the Russian Taiga is tricky business, I think, as I graze on a bowl of mountain ash berries and picture the swampy forest outside. It’s September in Kamchatka, and I’m standing in the predawn darkness by the kitchen sink of a cabin in Yelizovo village. My host, Martha Madsen, who runs the guesthouse and is the only American living on the Kamchatka Peninsula, picked the berries during these few weeks of melt.
One Take: The Dying Art of Classic Cars
These old school mechanics, folks who work on carburetors instead of the new vehicles—it’s what I kind of gravitate to. I think a lot of it comes back to freedom. A lot of these guys I’ve talked to, when they were 15, they got a set of wheels and they could get out. And drive.

An Urgent Look at How Artificial Intelligence Will See the World - Photographs from Trevor Paglen’s exhibition “A Study of Invisible Images”Review by Alexander Strecker | LensCulture
“My time at Stanford has centered around a development in image-making that I think is more significant than the invention of photography…” Since its advent, the photographic frame has allowed us to see other people’s visions of the world. When we look at the oldest-surviving photograph—Nicéphore Niépce’s almost postcard-sized View from the Window at Le Gras—we are looking at an approximation of how Niépce saw the world from a high window in his home, looking out over his estate.
Favorite Chicken Recipes Reimagined By Top Chefs
Have you heard? The sky is falling, and, quite apropos: Chicken is king. It may be the recent election season, evoking that promise that now seems so innocent and unlikely of a chicken in every pot. Or perhaps chicken is simply in tune with today’s modish minimalism? Something else? In any case, there are chickens, chickens everywhere and endless roasts to eat.
