TULSA, Okla. — As many Americans celebrate Independence Day and the freedoms won over the last 250 years, a Tulsa nonprofit is working to make sure veterans who fought for those freedoms are not forgotten. KTUL has previously reported on the work being done by Tulsa nonprofit Heroes Hope, which helps support veterans facing homelessness and instability in the Tulsa area. During PTSD Awareness Month in June, local providers shared that they'd identified around 200 veterans living on Tulsa's streets.
