Longtime Saints star Alvin Kamara agreed to a restructured contract to stay in New Orleans for another year. It will be the Saints' all-time leading rusher's 10th season with the team. Kamara made a surprise appearance at voluntary OTA practices, where he said he talked to Head Coach Kellen Moore. Kamara also spoke publicly and expressed his desire to continue playing for the Saints.

Chalmette native Mitchell Robinson signs $47M deal with Celtics

Fresh off winning his first NBA Championship with the Knicks, Chalmette native Mitchell Robinson signed as a free agent Wednesday with the Boston Celtics. The deal is three years, $47.4 million dollars. Robinson was one of the top centers available in NBA Free Agency, and the Celtics pursued him quickly, agreeing to the deal less than 24 hours into free agency. Robinson was born in Pensacola and finished his high school career at Chalmette High.
