What was your first job as a journalist?
I worked as a stringer for the Lowell Sun. In this job I went all over North-Central Massachusetts covering local issues.

Twitter. I find my Facebook feed to be too homogeneous. I like the diversity of thought on Twitter.

Anyone who wants to know more about how technology is impacting the lives of everyday people.
Why did you become a journalist?
I enjoy telling stories, and real life stories are generally more interesting than fictional ones.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Nope.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Back in 2009 I did review of how the recession was impacting local businesses in Roslindale, MA. I saw a lot of grit and hope.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't pay too much for college. Get a job stringing or a good internship. It will pay off more than a high-priced degree.
