My only movie in a theater today... so excited that Metrograph is playing this. I haven't seen this movie since it came out 22 years, and I may have only seen it at a press screening, but I remember enjoying it, because I generally like Greek epics. I vaguely remember it not being treated well by critics for reasons that completely escaped me. I'm not even sure if I reviewed it, because I was still the new guy and low man on the totem pole at ComingSoon when it came out, but I do remember liking it.

Haven't seen this since it came out, but watching it again reminded me that Na Ho-jin is one of Korea's most underrated filmmakers, who has frequently been overshadowed by Bong Joon-ho and Park Chan-wook, maybe because they've been more prolific, but when you talk about great serial killer thrillers, this needs to be included amongst the likes of The Silence of the Lambs and SE7en, as well as Korean classics like Memories of Murder and I Saw the Devil, which both opened within a few years of...
