Although disappointed with the election results, I am at peace, and you should be too — righteousness is never wasted. Before the election, I was despondent because it was obvious half the country were already conned by Trump’s nonstop lies and election denial. Winning the election doesn’t make these lies true, and we remained a divided country with a point or so difference between either side. Triumphal Trump supporters should take a moment to consider our division.

There’s been a lot of deliberate confusion around Ballot Question 3. But make no mistake — open primaries and ranked choice voting will greatly improve elections in Nevada and nationwide. This measure is a great first step to eliminating extremism poisoning public discourse. Voters on all sides should vote yes. Nevada’s ballot proposal will create open primaries. The top five candidates will move to the general election, where the losing candidates are eliminated until one achieves a 50% majority.
