Highlights • Planned oocyte cryopreservation is being increasingly utilized worldwide. • Woman's age at cryopreservation and the number of mature oocytes thawed are the strongest predictors of live birth following oocyte warming. • A significant proportion of women cannot accumulate sufficient oocytes because of poor response to stimulation. • This novel, unexpected finding adds clinically relevant information for counselling and management of patients undergoing planned oocyte cryopreservation.

1. Introduction The term “miscarriage” encompasses a range of early pregnancy complications, necessitating clear and standardized terminology. Prior to 2005, various definitions were in use across different countries and societies, resulting in confusion and hindrances in research and medical practices. In response, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) took a significant step by introducing revised definitions for early pregnancy events in 2005 and 2017 [1].

4. Discussion In the current study, we compared two surgical techniques for treating rectocele: STARR and PC. Preoperatively, we found that although the rate of ODS symptoms was higher among patients who underwent STARR, the mean rectocele size was smaller, compared to PC.
