HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Medical Examiner has officially unveiled the grim specifics surrounding the Manoa murder-suicide incident that shook the community to its core. The manner of death for victims Naoka Oda and her three children was identified as homicide. The father of the family Paris Oda, who was identified by police as the suspect, died by suicide. Medical examiners said Naoko died by multiple sharp force injuries along with her 17-year-old daughter Sakurako.

EMS: Motorcyclist critically injured after crashing into bus

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital Thursday night following a crash involving the rider and a city and county bus, said Honolulu Emergency Medical Services. According to the Honolulu Police Department, the incident happened at around 9:15 p.m. on Fort Weaver Road in Ewa Beach. Police were told that the 31-year-old motorcyclist was traveling in the northbound lanes while the 59-year-old bus driver was traveling south.

HPD responding to barricade on Kunia Road

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Police Department is asking the public to avoid parts of Kunia Road as they deal with a barricade situation. Officers announced the incident at around 9:30 a.m. As HPD deals with the barricade in the farmlands area they will provide more information when details become available. HPD is investigating.
