LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A new bakery in Louisville's Portland neighborhood was forced to delay its grand opening after two cars crashed through its front door on Monday. It happened three days after Sugar Bakery passed its final health inspection. Owner Maria McGary has been wanting to open up a bakery since the COVID-19 pandemic. "No matter what happens, this is happening," McGary said.

Firearm trainers stress safety as new Kentucky concealed carry law takes effect

To get a license, applicants must be a U.S. citizen and a Kentucky resident. Kentucky is an open carry state, but did not have any way for people under 21 to conceal carry. They also must successfully pass a background check and have up to eight hours of firearm training. Troy Milburn, the general manager at Next Level Ranges, helps with that training. "Without question, safety is the most important part of owning firearms," Milburn said.

Clarksville residents say trash services need improvement before new $10 sanitation fee starts

CLARKSVILLE, IN. (WDRB) – Clarksville residents will soon pay an extra $10 a month for trash-pick up, and many of them are not happy about the increase. "We are not getting the service that we used to have, "said Joyce Stewart, who has lived in Clarksville since 2019. "I don't see why we're getting an extra charge all of a sudden." The Clarksville town council approved the new ordinance this week.
