HONOLULU (KHON2) — A new effort has been created to rename the Waianae Post Office after the late Congresswoman Colleen Hanabusa. Senators Brian Schatz and Mazie Hirono, alongside Representatives Jill Tokuda and Ed Case, introduced the bipartisan legislation to honor Hanabusa’s life and public service. During her time as a public servant, Hanabusa dedicated her career to Hawaii’s working families and made history as the first woman President of the Hawaii State Senate.
