When I first joined The Castleton Spartan, it was a spur of the moment decision. Just like many Spartan members, professor and Spartan advisor Dave Blow pulled me aside after class one day and told me he saw something in my writing. He pushed me, believed in me, and gave me the space to grow, and I can’t thank him enough for everything he’s done for me throughout my college career.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)  You’re starting so many new things but not finishing a single one. Pick one idea that matters the most to you and follow through on it all the way before you burn yourself out pretending to be busy. Taurus (April 20 – May 20) You’re getting a little too comfortable doing the same exact thing every day, and it’s starting to show. Switch it up, even in a small way. Your routine is starting to like a trap you built yourself instead of stability.

The Vermont Slate Valley Trails are full of paths cutting between maple groves, slate-streaked stone and soft forest floors that change as the season does. In some stretches of the tail, sunlight breaks through the trees in scattered patches across the ground. In others, the trail tightens into fast turns and dips where riders lean into the path, carried by its momentum and care-built design.
