Student loan caps raise new concerns

Paying for college could begin to look different for some student borrowers as major changes to federal student loans take effect at the start of the upcoming school year. In July of last year, President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, bringing the largest ever cuts to health care, food assistance programs, education and student loans. On July 1 of this year, changes will begin for Parent PLUS, Graduate PLUS, and loan proration for part-time students.
