I started out writing casting and trailer news at Ain't It Cool News back in early 2018.

Email is my preferred mode of communication

I typically compose in Google Docs before I publish elsewhere, and I record my interviews with a Shure SM58 microphone.

As much as I still miss MySpace, I suppose Instagram would be my favorite now.

Why did you become a journalist?
I love film and talking with people, so having the opportunity to talk to people about film is a dream come true.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, but I contributed several poems and prose pieces to the arts journal.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I am probably most proud of my interview with New York Times Bestselling author Max Brooks in 2023.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't get into this racket for the money.

I was once offered the opportunity to speak with a "UFO disclosure activist."
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
I was once pitched the opportunity to interview Neil DeGrasse Tyson, but it was for a film about vaccines. Disappointing. I declined.
What's your favorite drink?
I'm originally from Texas, so my favorite drink is sweet tea.

Watching a movie or reading a book
