Introducing Guided Determinism in Agent Broker Using Agent Script
Reading Time: 13 minutes Imagine the days before that first large language model (LLM) launched. Back then, automation made business processes fully deterministic: you wrote them in code and clearly defined the steps and outcomes. With the advent of reasoning models, the world shifted completely. Adding a reasoning layer meant your agentic applications could interpret intent and adapt on the fly instead of failing at the first unexpected input.

In your language, who translated Dostoevsky’s works?
Eric Xu · Follow 4 min read · -- A fascinating fact is that the English word “translate” is derived from the Latin word, “translatus”, which means “to transfer,” or “to transport”. As if the concrete object is transported across the boundaries of language, culture, country, or nation and takes root, grows, and multiplies in the veins of another language, culture, country, or nation, it emphasizes spatial orientation and transgressive action. In your language, who translated Dostoevsky’s works?

The avoidance of failure is smothering academic exploration at Emory College
When we hear phrases like “it builds character,” we usually roll our eyes. We’d rather not submit ourselves to unnecessary stress, especially if we feel that our lives are already stressful. What we don’t consider, however, is how antifragile we students are. The term “antifragility,” developed by Nassim N. Taleb in his book of the same name, is defined roughly as the quality of benefiting from stressors.
Response to "The importance of Platonian dialogue on our campus”
(lecasio/Creative Commons) Isabella Aguado (25C) argues that Emory University should further encourage dialogue with diverse opinions. Though generally agreeable, she calls for the discussion of controversial topics without regarding the extreme difficulty of avoiding social ostracization in taking the “wrong” side. It’s impossible to engage in such discussion because we cannot break the mold of mainstream opinion without social consequences.

US Congress is wrong to question Huawei’s academic partnerships
Recently my company Huawei was strongly criticized by several members of the US Congress. They asked the US secretary of education to investigate whether our cooperation with US universities on basic scientific research might threaten US national security. I believe this criticism displays an ignorance of how contemporary science and innovation work and I recently described it as "ill-informed" in a media interview. I did not mean this as a personal attack.
Comparison: Lenovo Yoga 910 vs Yoga 900
New year, new Yogas. How does Lenovo’s Yoga 910 stack up against last year’s Yoga 900? Let’s find out. The Yoga 910 looks very similar to the Yoga 900. They both have the same dimensions, which means that my sleeve for the Yoga 900 fits the Yoga 910 perfectly. The Yoga 910 is a bit heavier because of its all-metal unibody design. Last year’s Yoga 900 had a magnesium alloy casing, and a rubber-like material inside the chassis. With the Yoga 910, the entire chassis is metal.
