(AP/WGHP) — As drivers pour into Daytona Beach, Florida, for the Daytona 500, more drivers have made it to the Great American Race from North Carolina than any other state. Nine drivers from North Carolina are vying to win at Daytona International Speedway this Sunday, and topping the list is William Byron, of Charlotte, who aims to make history by becoming the first driver to win three consecutive Daytona 500s.
