Why did you become a journalist?

Overwhelming, broad curiosities and urges to learn and help others. Hoping to bolster educated decisions amid chaos.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Executive producer of my highschool news before I went to college, where I was elected the Editor in Chief of the university paper.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Not one in particular. Just any story in which I am able to share a diverse array of voices.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

If you want to be a writer, be a writer. And, if you want to be a journalist, be a writer who scours "boring" documents to garner facts.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

In the Appalachian woods or waiting with my cart at the edge of a superstore isle, waiting for others to pass.
