On Tuesday afternoon prior to starting their series against the Chicago Cubs at Coors Field, the Colorado Rockies announced a series of roster moves. The most prominent of these moves has potentially seismic organizational implications. The Rockies have selected the contract of top outfield and shortstop prospect Cole Carrigg (no. 4 PuRP), adding him to the 40-man roster and setting him up for his Major League debut. Carrigg will wear no. 16, last worn in 2025 by first baseman Blaine Crim.
